The French Embassy in Nigeria, as part of its partnership with the Lagos State Sports Commission, organized the visit of a French e-sports expert, Mr Désiré KOUSSAWO.
This mission had the main objective to enable Mr Koussawo to meet the private and public actors of the Nigerian e-sports ecosystem and establish a roadmap for our future cooperation.

The Cooperation and Cultural Action Service (SCAC) in Lagos welcomed Mr Désiré KOUSSAWO, president of the France e-sport association in Lagos, from June 6 to 11, 2022. He was to meet with the Embassy's private and public partners identified as major stakeholders for its structuring of the e-sport ecosystem's agenda. Already supporting one-off events led by private organizations (GamrX, Comic-Con); the Embassy has formalized a partnership in the form of a MoU with the Lagos State Sports Commission to share its expertise and knowledge.

🔊 WORLD MUSIC DAY l CLASSICAL DUO THROWBACK 🔊

On the day of the #worldmusicday, the 21st of June, the Institut français du Nigéria hosted a classical duo composed by @maxime.zecchini (piano, France) & @brosstheo (cello, Germany).
They started with a concert for the young audience in the afternoon. Later in the evening, they performed for the general public.

Thank you Maxime and Théo for touring Nigeria and for your performance, it was a huge success!

🔈 ANNECY FESTIVAL 🔈

That’s a wrap! An amazing week in Annecy with Nigerian animation studios ! This year again, The Embassy of France in Nigeria has been rooting for the Nigerian Animation Industry by providing them with an umbrella at the MIFA (International Animation Film Market). Coordinated with the association Animation Nigeria, this stand hosted more than a dozen animation studios who pitched their projects to French and international Industry Stakeholders.

The Partners Pitches completed the panorama offered by putting young talents from Nigeria in the limelight, giving international animation industry the opportunity to discover the latest creations.

This support was made possible thanks to a Fund for Innovative Projects, dedicated to the development of Cultural and Creative Industries in Nigeria. It has been entrusted for a period of two more years by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, and aims at stimulating capacities building, amongst other themes.

Thank you again to our partners Animation Nigeria, Air France for making this happen for the entire Nigerian Animation Industry and finally thank you Festival international du film d'animation d'Annecy and MIFA for such an important event.

Quelle semaine incroyable passée au festival du Film d’animation d’Annecy en compagnie des studios d’animation nigérians ! Cette année encore l’Ambassade de France au Nigéria a soutenu la création de contenus d’animation en accueillant les studios nigérians sur un stand dédié lors du Marché International du Film d’Animation (MIFA), en coordination avec l’association Animation Nigeria. Une douzaine de studios ont pu présenter leurs projets aux différents producteurs, diffuseurs et plateformes du monde entier.

La séance des Pitch Partenaires a complété cette présence nigériane remarquée en offrant la possibilité à six porteurs de projets de « pitcher » pour la première fois à Annecy leurs séries, courts ou long-métrages d’animation devant un parterre de professionnels. ...

Kids summer camp is back!

These classes are designed for kids between 5 and 17 years old.

The 2 class options are:
➡️ 2 weeks for 100,000 NGN
18 July - 29 July
1 August - 12 August

➡️ 4 weeks for 150,000 NGN
18 July - 12 August

The classes will hold at Tender Years Preparatory School in Wuse 2, from Monday to Friday between 9 AM to 3 PM.

To register your child, you can contact us by phone or email, or you can simply walk into the French Institute.

Other activities such as art activities and outdoor activities among others will be taken by your child while classes are in session.
