Institut français du Nigéria: Movie Night, “Quartiers Lointains, Afrofuturistik”
16 November 2021 @ 19h00
Since 2013, Quartiers Lointains has brought together, from North to South, a program of short fiction and documentary films, French and African, around a different theme each year. For its 6th edition, Quartiers Lointains has chosen the theme “Afro Futuristik”, under the patronage of the fashion designer Selly Raby Kane. The screening of these short films for Go Digital! #3 will allow the public to discover new talents that question the African imaginary and its oral and visual transmissions in the 21st century. The short films of the Afro-Futuristik selection will highlight an experimental African cinema, whose imagination is firmly anchored in the future.
GO DIGITAL! is part of the international festival Novembre Numérique (Digital November) which highlights digital cultures in their broad diversity and proposes to question the forms, practices, uses and stakes of digital technologies across the globe. For its 3rd edition, GO DIGITAL! invites you to discover the richness of digital creations, from Virtual Reality artworks to digital exhibitions, from podcasts to entrepreneurship and from innovative movies to electronic music.
